Application:

The cord anchorage shall relieve conductors from strain, including twisting, at the terminals and protect the insulation of the conductors from abrasion. This testing appliance applies pull force and torque tests for cord anchorage, to verify the reliability of the cord anchorage.



Test Principle:

The eccentric wheel is driven by a motor, to make the pull weight pulled for 1s; the torque is applied to the sample by the electromagnet releases the torque weight, at the same time, the direction of the force applied and the axis of the sample form a torque arm through the torque wheel, so as to achieve torque test. The pull weights and torque weights can be customized to meet different requirements in different standards.

Structure:

The equipment adopts motor cam ejector mechanism, the pull fixture is combined with the torque fixture, and matched by the bearing in the middle to reduce the friction during the torque test. The Z-shaped structure enables the fixture to clamp the appliance’s power cord which is 150mm above the bottom surface. It can test the firmness of the power cord anchorage of large household appliances, such as refrigerators and washing machines

Test Contents Pull and torque testing: make a mark on the cord where is 20mm to the anchorage, then apply the pull force at a rate of 1 time/second, after finishing pull testing, apply the torque for 1 min. The displacement of the mark position on the cord should not exceed 2 mm after testing.
