Application:
It is used to check the mechanical strength of the electric iron under normal working conditions and rated power input, and also to test the drop resistance of the electric blanket control device.
Test Principle:
The iron (except for cordless irons) is suspended by its handle with the soleplate in the horizontal position through the cam mechanism driven by servo motor. It is dropped from a height of 40 mm onto a rigidly supported steel plate having a thickness of at least 15 mm and a mass of at least 15 kg. The test is carried out 1000 times at a rate not exceeding 20 drops per min. The test is conducted so that the iron rests on the steel plate for approximately 15% of the time.
